Joomla! uses the error.php file to handle several HTTP Status errors, including "403 Forbidden", "404 Not Found", and "500 Internal Server" errors. Learn more about the .

You can use the Error page options to customize the logo, background image for the error page.

The following settings can be found in the Basic → Error Page panel.
